Just curious, I was wondering if anyone had any input on buying bulbs off aqua trader. They had this bulb

http://shop.aquatraders.com/ProductD...ductCode=64109
for only about $13 - with shipping just a little over $20. This is what I need a MH bulb, double ended, 10k.. i'm just a bit worried because its about $40 cheaper than fosters & smith, big als or anywhere else I look for different name bulbs.. do you think it would be ok to order or should I stick with the name brands on the other sites?

This is the first time i've had to replace my MH's so just curious on what others think. Thanks!!!

I would spend the extra for a "good" bulb. I did the off brand thing a couple times nothing but headaches. I now get them from hellolights.com

Holy crap just looked at the link odyssea is a junk producing company. Do yourself a favor and research the odyssea name You will never hear anything good.

Junk bulb.

About the same crap you can buy off eBay. I ordered two 20k DE's.....they were different bulbs from the same dealer! Neither were even close to 20k. One was closer to a 6k (it was super yellow, more so than a 10k) and the other had a blue tint to it so maybe 14k? Corals reacted great for a couple weeks and then started to lose color and such.

Switched back to a Phoenix and all was well again! Even a mid-grade used bulb is better than these.

Again, just my opinion. I'm sure they produce a good bulb out of every batch......

Check forums for used bulbs. You can find them for 50% off and only used a couple of hours. Even brand new bulbs for 25%+ off. Some people buy a new brand, don't like the color, and can't return it. So they get back what they can (it;s how I got my 3 Phoenix bulbs for $50).
