Kimber, RJ, you two ROCK!!!  I love the doors!!!   Merry Christmas to me!

Background: several months ago I was the beneficiary of one of RJ's clients making an assumption about tank dimensions, resulting in a canopy that was just a SMIDGE off of fitting.  RJ asked if I wanted to give that canopy a try on my 75.  Are you KIDDING?  HECK YEAH!  He even already had it fitted out with monster overdriven shoplights(6 bulbs!).

Well, I didn't have the doors for it, and had been keeping a towel over it because the lights were shining in our eyes when we would watch TV.  This was a shame, because as those of you who have seen his work know, his work is GORGEOUS and you do not want to keep it covered, you want people to SEE it(and occasionally reverently run their hands over it).

So for Christmas, Kimber and RJ got me the doors! WOO HOO!!  It looks great and no more towel!

Not that I'm excited or anything...  now I NEED to get batteries for my camera so I can get some way overdue pix posted.

We're getting a newer digital camera sent this week, so hopefully pix will be coming soon.  My camera is 10yrs old.  Was state of the art at the time, but has been well used & dropped and so on since I bought it used 7 years ago.

I need to figure out a way to rig the base of the canopy so it sits a bit more stablely(yes, I made up that word).  I am also considering putting it on the tropical tank, which is only a 55, so that will indeed require rigging to make it stay on safely-- but I think the tropicals will benefit from the heat all those lights generate.  It really makes the water a bit warm for the natives.

But the plant growth with 6 bulbs has been wonderful!
