So when I did my water change in my native tank(75g)on Sat, I took the time to clean off the intake for the powerhead, and took a toothpick to the holes on the spray-bar and cleaned all thecrap out of that too.

WOW is there more current/flow in that tank now!  My Southern Red Belly Dace are DIGGIN' IT!  They have been playing in that current ever since, with their bellies a bright, SCARLET red. They go right up to the spray bar, as close as they can get, and they remind me a little of a pack of puppies the way they tumble all over one another.

I see the playful behavior more with the natives than the tropicals.  Most of the native varieties I have had have shown me this behavior.  I have only seen it in a handful of the tropicals(and that will be a post for the freshwater section)

I've never seen tropicals play in current like my natives do.  I think that most of our tropicals are captive bred somewhere without strong current, where my natives came directly out of a river.

My guppies, khulis and especially the tetras(neons and platinums) will play in the bubbles from the bubble wand(which is why I have it running along the whole back of the tank).  I have also noticed that when I use a hose to fill the tank after water changes, they will congregate and play in the stream from the hose.  And last night I noticed some of the Hatchet fish playing in the flow from the HOB filter where it waterfalls into the tank.
