Hi everyone,

  I was planning on going south to the headwaters of Big Darby Creek to collect some Southern Redbelly Dace (Phoxinus erythrogaster) for my newly set-up aquarium.  I was just wondering if anyone here would be interested in coming along.  I'll be collecting those fish as well as photographing other species found around that stream.  This trip might also include a stop to the nearby Mad River drainage to look for the rare Tonguetied Minnow (Exoglossum laurae).  The Tonguetied Minnow would be a catch and release deal, but since I've never seen one alive before, I'd like to check them out.

If the headwaters of the Big Darby is too far a trip (it may be a 2 hr. drive one-way), we could always go to the Blanchard River and the nearby Outlet Ditch.  I'd like to collect Redfin Shiner (Lythrurus umbratilis) and Blackstripe Topminnow (Fundulus notatus) from the Outlet Ditch, but the Blanchard and Outlet Ditch provide a wide variety of species for the collector/photographer to enjoy.

Update:  I have to cancel this already.  There's been a mix-up and my paycheck has been delayed even longer than anticipated (haven't been paid since July 2nd).  So, I'm not going to have the funding to make a trip on Sunday.  Sorry. 

Okay, the trip is uncancelled.  I'm going to drive.

I don;t have my own computer(well, I do, but it is non-working) and the roomie's got the security settings on hers set so I was unable to see the security code you need in order to verify you are a human.
