Honestly, I'm looking for someone to come over here and fix this nuisance of a problem. I'm fed up and done playing in the water... so to speak. My protein skimmer is generating enough air to be thrown back into the tank in the form of micro bubbles. They annoy the ba-jeebers out of me and although a fellow TRAC-er had fixed this problem at one point in time (using a micron bag and filter media tied onto the end of my return tube (from the protein skimmer), they have re-appeared. I have tried moving the filter media around and re-attaching the filter bag - to no avail. Any suggestions? Any helpers? There's a 6 pack of your choice in the deal for the first person that wants to step up, come over and resolve this most irritating issue for me!

Kim, have you tried to reduce the flow of the air line. Maybe an in line valve to regulate.

RJ, I have adjusted and adjusted the flow of the air line, however, I don't know what an "in line valve is". Sounds like something I haven't tried. Looking for a free 6-pack? How's the canopy coming. Lights arrive on Tuesday!

That can be a problem for skimmers that drain directly back to the tank.
What I would suggest is to make a bubble trap using the filter bag that is not working well for you but adding a large pore foam block that you cut to fit over the end of the return pipe.
the idea is the filter bag holds the foam block in place. I am not positive where to get you to get the foam locally, I have a block that came with my coral-life skimmer. Their small models come with a bubble trap in case you want to use it as a "hang-on" type. You may be able to get a replacement for that locally or order it from cora-life.
Down side of using the foam block is that it will need to be rinsed once a week so it does not build up goodies and start leaching them back into the tank.
Beyond not looking great the bubbles do bug some corals and others so you want to get rid of them as soon as you can. (you may have already knew that, but I wanted to say it for the benifit of newer keepers
