Thanks, I think what you are looking at is stained glass in the front of the canopy, not two different types of wood.

Thanks everyone, I have another one almost done for the Cichlid tank. It looks just like this one but the glass is purple... the wife likes purple so everyone is happy.

One of the blubs in my canopy has not been working most of this week, so some of my plants were not doing much growing and one even looked like it was diying. This afternoon, I went to the HD and picked up another fixture, and two new blubs.

This is what I came up with. Instead of 2 Fixtures I now Have 3... More is better right?    Each light has been rewired to "ODNO" This is "Over Drive Normal Output" I found this idea on the net about 2 years ago and it seems to work well for me.

The idea is simple enough... instead of 1 ballast running both lights, each light has its own ballast.
