Hey, Matt, do you think that awesome purpley plant I got from you guys would like some actinic action a couple hours a day?

(I really need to write down the real names of all the assorted plants I have going on in my tanks)

I don't know if it helps much? Actinic is supposed to penetrate water deeper (I think). The biggest benefit would probably be to you (more vibrant colors)

Limnophila aromatica ‘hippuroides’ also know as "Prettiest Purplantis"

Thanks.  I'm not sure the actinics will help, but I am going to experiment.  My first tank's hood was set up for marine, and the actinics and non-actinic bulbs each had their own timers.  That tank had the BEST plant growth I have ever had in a tank.  So I'm going to experiment to see what happens with my 75g natives and my 55g tropicals if I add actinic light a few hours in the am, and at night.
