After a year and a half of figuring out my tank, everything is working great, but now i need to move in the next couple of months or so.  I wont be moving far like 5-7 miles, but how on earth do i move everything without starting from scratch?  Its  a 90 gallon fowlr with 29 gallon sump, 200 pounds of live sand and a 150 pounds of live rock?  I get exhausted thinking about it.  Is there an online guide on what to do, or how much water to save... Thanks

I have moved about 5 or 6 tanks in the last 3 years and have a record of losing Zero live stock.  Anywhere from 60 gallon tanks to 200 gallon tanks.  The goal is to save as much water as you can.  You will need to go to Lowes and pick up a bunch of rubbermade trash cans.  Put all of your Rock and sand and a lot of your water in there.  If you have some 5 gallon buckets those would work well for live stock.  If you are putting fish in a bucket do not put a lid on it leave it open so air can transpose to the water.  Also plan on this taking all day.  Your going to want to tear it down and set it back up all in the same day as to not kill off anything in your tank.  So either do your tank first and get it setup in your new place where you want it or do it last.

What size tank is safe to move without tearing down first?  I have to re-arrange some tanks, and I need to move two 29 gallon tanks about 5 feet.  One needs torn down, the other one I'd rather not.  I routinely move 10 gallon tanks without tearing them down, or even taking the fish out.  I drain all but a gallon or two of water - just enough to cover the fish.  I've never had any trouble doing that.

tank moving time is coming quick, a few questions

1. How long can I keep my fish in a bucket?- Butterfly, coral beauty, chromis, clowns

2. How wet does my live rock have to be?

3. How much of a 110 gallons should i realistically try to save? (90 gallon- 30 gallon sump)

Thanks

I think if you have help(I volunteer!) we should be able to move the 29 without tearing too much of it down-- maybe take out the heavier rocks & most of the water?
