Note to self - Buy a flipping auto shut off for the RO unit or something.
I fill my RO jugs 3g at a time. The timer is on the fritz so I just have to pay attention. Well I got into a match for Combat Arms (free FPS, PC game) and forgot about the water three times today.
If I had the room and ability to do a 50g drum or something, I would!
Take it from me, use a timer when making RO water. It saves a lot of cleanup and lashing from whoever else you live with.

Burks I feel your pain. When I ran my RO I had a 15 gallon tote I would fill up. Of course I would start it in the morning on a saturday after doing a 15 gallon water change on my 60 gallon tank then I would go to bed and forget that I had it running to fill up the tote to wake up in the morning with half my living room and kitchen flooded. Luckily its good ole clean water so nothing to worry about but wet socks! But still a pain to clean up.

I routinely forget about the water running into my 34 gallon water aging tub. Luckily it's in a shower stall. Unluckily, the shower is unused because the drain is slow (among other things). Last time I had the shower floor filled up to the rim before I went in there and shut off the water.
They used to sell something called a 'Screamer' that sounds an alarm when it gets wet. I haven't seen them lately.

Thats a cool Idea. Probably too many jokesters were throwing them in peoples aquariums!

It ain't a flood until you have the Sylvania Fire Department calling you to tell you in the middle of the X-files that you've got a mess to clean up in the aisles at Sterlings ;)

Pfft!!
That ain't a flood (tis a mere moisture problem). It's only a flood when you have inches of water that cover lots of sq footage with water pouring into the parking lot. (yes that was an experience we had that we would rather not have) .
We had so much water, we had a guy sitting in the parking lot, on a chair with a beer and fishing pole. (he must of had a few before he got there)
