One of the few things in the hobby that is really limited in supply is macroalgae. I ran across this site a couple weeks ago and didn't think much of it but they've been getting tons of awesome reviews.

Maybe we could set up a group buy? The shipping is $9 for Priority (most macro will work here) and $23 for Express (everything else). Split that between three people and it is not an issue. They're also offering a 50 "frag pack" of macroalgae for $80 with free Express shipping right now.  That's $1.60 per "frag" with rarities included (takes a special person to care for some of these).

Neat place with tons of macro that I doubt stores can get unless it is special ordered, even then it might take a while!

If a group buy was put together I may get in on this.

Looks like we have a group buy in the process. Who wants to spear head this?

I sent a message off to John (owner of Reef Cleaners) to see how the group buy will be worked out and so forth.

I mentioned the site so we'll see if he swings by to let us know what is going on or just replies to my message.

Didn't expect so many posts already. I know of three other people who would be in for an order as well.

Once we get a reply, we can figure out who will place the order, receive it, and any other things that need decided.

I organized the last group buy so "Not It"  ;)

Seriously though, the last one went real smooth... I work an oddball schedule so unless we can lock down a firm delivery date, it would be better for someone else to receive it-- logistically speaking, unless people pay the "buyer" up front, it is easiest for the person that receives it pays for it so they can collect money when it is distributed out after delivery--- our last order spanned tiffin, whitehouse, toledo, Monroe MI so we did kind of a snail relay-- I had to be in the middle so I could get paid.

I can paypal or mail a check to the buyer up front if needed.

Just as an idea I will probably spend about $50-$60 if we do this group buy.

I read over the sites "group buy" page and it looks like we will all put in and pay for our orders seperately, and add a note the "note" field  when they process the order, they will bag and put names on the bags.... but ship them together... when they arrive just give out the bags.... they made it pretty easy IMO...

I did try to get a few different snails just to try out the site and they were out of stock on nerite snails-- they did have some of the dwarf cerith though...

Everyone might want to do some of this prior to committing to the group order-- make sure they have what you want.
