"We may define "faith" as a firm belief in something for which there is not evidence ... Where there is evidence, no one speaks of "faith". We only speak of faith when we wish to substitute emotion for evidence."

I get impatient with the fact that my tanks don't yet look like those of some of my fellow TRACers, but yanno, all the plants in every tank ARE showing growth.  My val is putting out runners everywhere, the plants I've gotten from fellow TRACers are showing new growth. so I'm encouraged.

The plants in the soil/sand subtrate tanks are growing proportionately faster than those in the gravel tank.  To be fair, the s/s tanks may have newer lights.  The 10g light not only is brand-spanking new, but with it being  a 10g the plants are closer to the light.  So not sure if it is the light, the soil, or the combo of both.

I'm hoping (again) to get the 55 gal substrate changed this weekend, but not holding my breath.  I also have a feed bucket full of rocks to clean up and some small pieces of slate gathered from my roof(landscaping slate from the neighboring family video that the heathen neighbor children like to throw onto my roof.  I just collect it, bleach it good and use it for tanks) to create some caves and interesting formations with.

I'm loving having all the plants & natural rocks in the tanks!

The val in my 30 gallon tank is unbelievable!  It's taking over.  I've never had val grow that well.  It must be the soil.  I haven't been using any fertilizers lately.

I still haven't gotten over to Trilby's to see their plants.  I need to do that soon.

OOH, yes you do!  There are some nice options!  I got some today  that I already forgot the name of, but it's a lovely color of purple with palm-frondy type leaves.
