Here are some more pix of my 75g native tank, taken today.   I brought a bunch more rocks home but need to clean them up before I put them in the tank(from the barn).  I want more plants!

You can sort of see some of the mud minnows hovering around.  They're getting all brave!  I think you can see one of them playing in the bubble column in the far left side of the tank.  The orange throat darters are blending in with the sand, but the blacksides are always right up in front.  Total hams.

I'm thinking I need to dunk the fake mangrove root in some peroxide, because it looks like it has HAIR. Ew.

gotta love the lampshade reflection in the upper left here...

Neat! That root piece is amazing. Rarely see anything with that type of shape or form in planted tanks. Long branches are overrated.

Anyone else see an alien face in the top of the root piece near the top? I do.

Yeah, it looks like Cthulhu.  I noticed it immediately.  If you ever want to get rid of that, Mary, I'll buy it off you.

My mudminnows sometimes play in the bubbles, too.

I too had noticed the face!  Kind of looks like an alien with tentacly arms... or Cthulhu.

You can get the exact same piece at PetSmart in Spring Meadows, and probably any of the big chain petstores.  It came from a PetCo in Harrisburg, Pa.  It was originally gray, but I've bleached it a couple of times due to insane hair algae. I think it is like $20 or something, but I get coupons for PetSmart all the time since we do so many adoptions there so if any of you want I'll try to get you a coupon for % off.
