does anyone know of a place that would sell an o right that fits the coralife 65 skimmer.  I got a ring from ace harware that was a tick too big and cut it and super glued the ring back together.  This must be a mm too thin though because every other time that I clean the cup.  there is a good dripping leak.  I have tried to re-tighten the cup a couple times without using a wrench (which would likely ruin the set up) without luck.

so I need a correct fitting ring

not positive of the model other than it is rated for a 65.  its the one on my 29 by my door if you happened to see it when you were over a while back

Well, i know this may sound a bit off, but place like lowes sell o-rings. I bought one a while back for a filter that the ring went bad in. Still works great. What i did was took the ring with me and matched the size up. If its a large ring, and I'm sure it is, you can check the area for water filters, they use large rings.

I will give them a look, it costs so much to run all the way to T-town.  I got one at Ace that was a tad larger around, cut it and super glued it.  It seemed to work for a while but I am guessing that its just a 1-2 mm to thin and does not reach above the groove it sits in quite enough.

thanks for the suggestion

Google search-- says if fits all coralife skimmers.

Its $2.50-- however the shipping on it is a bit rediculous $11-- I'll see if I can locate it cheaper.

Every site I'm finding is linking back to the one above....

Perhaps one of the LFS's can order one for you cheaper...

Thanks a bunch,  I guess I am too much of an old school guy.  I never google search and keep missing all the good the internet can offer.

the 2-3 bucks is fine but 11 to send it is more than unfair!!!

maybe Richard has a wholesale link where he can get one cheaper the 15 bucks for a 5 cent part

You could get a piece of neoprene and just cut your own out if you wanted to.

9 out of 10 voices in my head told me to do it.

I think it's an -042 size o-ring (3.25 ID 0.070 cross section). Should be able to find at hardware stores.  Or Zatkoff on Airport Hwy, although I don't know if Zatkoff sells to the public
