Can anyone recommend a place to buy and have cut glass to make baffles for a sump? Preferably in Toledo or somewhere close. Thanks

Are you making it yourself and does it have to be glass? Trev on Michigan Reefers is making me a sump out of acrylic, custom-made with three sections. I just gave him the dimensions of the stand, and the dimensions of my equipment (skimmer, pump) and he gave me a price.

I had my glass pieces cut at Lowes were I purchased them for the baffles in my sump. They don't charge you any extra... Just make sure you tell them it needs to be exactly a certain size. And make sure you have them cut a few centimeters smaller then what you measure so you can fit them in properly. The silicone will fill any gaps.

Ok, thanks for your input. I didn't even know lowes sold or cut glass.
Yes, it has to be glass. I'm making it out of an old glass tank and I don't think acrylic bonds to glass very well.

The lowes glass is kind of thin but should work ok-- it is 3/16" thick-- I had them cut my sump baffles a few weeks ago... still need to install them...

It is thin but it works you have to be careful with it I did accidently split mine down the middle one evening and stuck the two halves back together with silicone.
