Is anyone using the RSS feed feature for checking the TRAC forum?
If so, do you like it? Is it easy to reply to threads via RSS?
Do RSS hits show up as general traffic, or is there a way of figuring out how many people are using it?

I use it since I have windows vista side bar thats always displayed on my screen. When you see a topic you like on the RSS you click on it and it takes you straight to the forum to reply. There's no way to track how many people are using the RSS feature.

Would they show up in our total hits and unique users figures?
It might be an easy way for people to check the board. It looks like you can have it check the areas that you are interested in, and ignore the others.

Visitor totals are determined by IP Addresses that hit our site. Each day, any given IP address that accesses our site is counted as a unique visitor. If that IP address visits the site subsequent times in the same day, each visit that occurs 15 minutes after that IP address has left our site is considered an additional visit. I am sure Scott will correct me if any of this info is innaccurate.

RSS feeds will not show up in our total hits and unique users figures. The RSS will just periodically check an XML file and not access the core DNN portion of the website that tally's Unique visitors. RSS feeds can be controlled by using xsl stylesheets to view whatever content you are interested in. Our New Post(s) in Forum listing reads from the current TRAC RSS feed to populate that control.

So our traffic might be even higher than we think it is!
