A nice 29 gal tank is currently up for sale from MO,
this got my wheels turning about doing another nano reef. I have one at school which looks pretty good
Considering the number of folks new to reef keeping and new to the club I was wondering if there would be any interest in a demo showing how I would set up a sump/refu using a 20 long which fits under the same foot print as a 29, how I would plumb the 29 (holes drilled etc.) then open up a thread about some stocking options starting with live rock and developing from there.
in my opinion the 29 makes a fine primmer tank for someone considering going to a large tank down the road what want to learn the how to's first. To someone who thinks they will stay small, the all in one tanks are great, but if you think you will someday be looking for a 125 or bigger. I think a 29 or 55 makes a great starter tank.
the smaller size, less live rock, cheaper skimmer, smaller pumps and a single lighting unit make it a budget friend as well.
so if there are a few folks or more that would like to see this I will count on a demo next month

I'm very interested. Much of what you reefers talk about sounds like a foriegn language. Even if I don't ever go marine, I'd be good for me to be bilingual.

I'm interested too, since I'm going to be setting up a 45 gallon soon with a 10 gallon sump. Sounds like fun!

I think I will buy the supplies then try to sell the sump later for my school club or keep it to use in class. Not sure
BTW> I will be able to make the meeting on Saturday after all. The grave side service is a three hour trip so I am only going to the Friday night funeral home visit.
