Ok you guppy experts! Here are some pix of one of my original baby guppies, born a couple days after I bought the first 4( from Meijer or PetSmart or someplace where they were on sale for a dollar). He's about 6 months old now, maybe 7ish. Is this body pattern typical for a guppy? To my admittedly amateur eye it seems very much like the pix of endlers I've been looking at. I'll try to get clearer pix, but my camera is 10 years old and has been dropped a lot so no promises.

This is absolutely interesting phenotype, combination of everything, but related to guppies. Unfortunately photo is not very clear especially in caudal fin area, and do not allow to see anatomical details. Image of this guppy don’t fit to any of IFGA standards and do not exists in Guppy Bank References but color wise is very intriguing. As you said he is 6 months old, did he father some babies?

Gene,
Thank you so much for your input! I was hoping some of you serious guppy folk would see the pictures and share your thoughts.
I don't know if he is one of the fathers of the two new batches of fry that have arrived in the last month, or if he is one of the fathers of the females that are currently pregnant, since I have them all in one tank. I'll try to get a better picture of him and his sibling. The month-2 month old fry are turning out to be black from mid-body to the base of the tail, with yellow fins and tails, but are still too small to see more detail than that.
The two original adults(I doubt either was his father since he was born within 3 days of me purchasing the original 5 gupies) have snakeskin patterning on the body, and one has a mainly yellow tail while the other's tail varys from day to day from a yellow & black to a very pale blue and black.
If you would like to see these two in person I'd be very happy to work that out.
I haven't found any pictures to match the one I posted or his sibling- either their bodies or their tails. That's what got me wondering if they could be endlers crosses.

Hello Mary!
One of the old judges in IFGA Paul Gorski said one time; I quote “You can’t make orange juice out of lemons”. What we see is not necessarily what we can get when it comes to guppy color. Intensity of green, purple, yellow, red color of your fish in your fish room will or can change if transferred to another source of light. Combination of pigment color cells and reflected light from iridophores are responsible for this remarkable phenomenon. Even colorful male champion cross to female (sister) will have alleles set apart and next generation may not show desirable champion pattern. In your case accidentals, not selective breeding sometimes can create absolutely interesting phenotype, but for only one generation.
