kinda indecisive as to where i wanted to post this. on one hand jag's are cichlids, but on the other they are nowhere between an angel and zebra.
anywho. my jag's are about to spawn. anyone have much experience with this species and reproduction? i've got a pretty good grasp on it but a little reassurance never hurts. it's their first spawn and in the off chance that they don't eat the eggs i want to be able to care for them

I have had Jags breed for me before. The first batch of eggs they ate. Every batch after that I removed the parents when they started to wiggle a lot. If I remember correctly (I did this when I was in 8th grade) the eggs are surprisingly small. I always ended up with about 20 to a dozen two inch long babies. I can't remember but I think they had a tendency to eat their smaller brothers and sisters. I say this because they would lay a ton of eggs and not many would make it to two inches.
