Rj did getting the new floats help?? I have to of the JBJ ATO both failed on me after less than 1 year perhapps it is the floats.

Hi Lee if it turns out to be a large Bobbitt worm or similar type of worm and you can get it out alive I would like to have it I will set up a separate tank just give it a good home

I have a 180 gal set up in my house on a inside wall. The tank sits on 4 joice I do use 2 1 ton floor jacks under it in the basement just to be safe I have 4 foot 2x12 under the joice that the jack is pushing up to help hold all the weight.

How much rock is in the tank It will take months to starve all them. If it is a smaller tank 55gal or so just go get some new rock even if it is just 69 cent a pound from select stone and just start from there then you can get new live rock later to ...

I would bet it is mexicana cailerpa very common and tangs love it or mine do. But you seem to have a bit of another problem. That is one of the worst outbreaks of aptisa I have seen in a while if you dont have alot of rock it might be easier to start...
