Hold off in the peppermint - I don't think they're aiptasia. Your pic is a bit blurry, but they look more like hydroids to me. They're much worse, so if that's what they are get the rock out quick. Do a google picture search for aiptasia and hydroids and you can see which one you have.

Also, I'd recommend getting rid of the kenya trees as well - they multiply by dropping "branches" and each new branch attaches. They'll completely take over your tank - I thought it was harder to get rid of than aiptasia!

Here's a good hydroid pic: its the second one down to the right of the zoanthids.

There are many types of hydroids and the one I'm thinking of looks more like the "who" he's describing. I had some on a zoa frag awhile back and that description is perfect:)

If you look at the wetwebmedia site (which is a great site for all aquaria related things) you'll see the variation. Hard to tell from his pic, maybe he'll get back to us with a better one or he can identify them through a search.

Here's the one I was thinking of...they're to the right of the zoas:

there are many species of both.  Not all species look the same, not all species are eaten by the same predators.  I had hydroids and got a copperband which ate my hydroids (purely luck that he had a taste for them).
