Yeah, pretty much.  The return runs the entire length between both overflows.  It has 2 lines of holes drilled in it and it setup like a spraybar, but is below the water level.  One of the lines of holes points directly down, and the other at a slight angle towards the front of the tank.  It creates enough of a current/flow to keep all the water in the tank in constant motion (only 2 small dead spots) without it being too strong for fish from low current locations.  I "tested" this with all the flakes of acrylic left over from routing the access holes in the top to allow the 1.5" PVC to fit though.  I figured I was going to test out the filtration anyway, so why not leave the plastic flecks in there, and let it filter them out.  Kinda how I've seen on Discovery when they use oatmeal in a fish tank to show water currents.  There was A LOT of acrylic flecks in the tank at first, basicly looked like a white cloud.  I put a piece of filter pad in the wet/dry, and let it run.  After 3 hrs the tank was 100% clear.  Turned out to be a great way to "clean" the tank out!

Bad pic of the acrylic flecks right after routing the access holes in the empty tank:

We have liftoff!

Finished setting up the tank yesterday. I'm pretty pleased that none of the PVC plumbing leaks! Besides using Seachem stability, I added 10 giant danios to help kick start the cycle. 1 of them didnt make it, the smallest one. He got sucked into an overflow and I didn't notice him on the filter pad till a couple hours later. The danios should become food for the fish that I'm actually going to stock, but if not I'll be giving them away. Here's a couple crappy cell phone pics. I'll get some better pics this weekend after my Tigrinus catfish shows up on Friday, and I pick up my 2 Motoro stingrays on Saturday. Really only 2 things left to do for the tank, get some fabric to cover the stand, and route the canopy to fit around the overflows.

Looks nice. That sure is a colorful filter.  I see you're getting a tigrinus cat, they are a really nice catfish not too big and not too small. We had one for several years.

lol. Yeah, all my friends that have stopped by have been messing with me about the "rainbow filter", especially the pink scrubbies that are in there haha.

I don't mean to hi-jack but I like the overflows you made. I'd like to do something like this on a smaller scale for a 29 gallon for my wife's Sea Horses. Would it be possible to see yours in action sometime?

Sure thing RJ. I can help you out if you like, and also point you to a couple links that are helpful that I used to build them. Just let me know when you want to stop by to check it out. They're great 'cause you only have to prime them once . If you stop your system to do a water change they keep their prime and start back up automagicaly.

Actually I drilled in the light of the moon!.... well that and the garage coach lights lol!

Thanks AJ. Right now it's 2 motoro rays, 1 silver arowana, 1 tigrinus catfish, and 1 senegal bichir. Tomorrow morning is going to rule ;) I'll post pics.
