If you know what rock they're in, pull the rock out and use a screw driver  :) 

I think what the others have is a porcelain crab, and is pretty much benign. 

But as the saying goes along safe rather than sorry... Trust no crab.

the cab molted so yes i am now positive that this is the crab.....creepy thing... any ways now i am really concerned to get it out of there.... my friend bought me a clam and I'm affrid that it will pick at it....but its not been in its ususal hiding spot....sooooo i guess i will be keeping an eye out for it....still dont have a plan to get it out of there

I finally got him out without killing him.. I dont know what to do with him now that I got him out.. he has cupped claws not sharp ones.. do you guys think hes ok to put back in the tank???

hes ugly! if you have a sump put him in there.

nope no sump.. I have him in a bucket with some water in it for now.. poor little guy..  but he has red eyes too.. the camera did catch the color of them well..
