Hey thank you for the direct delivery!  Next one I buy, I'll come up and see your tanks  :)

It seems to be working out great.  The screen is small enough that it catches even small pieces of val, and the propellor isn't as big and klunky as the modification kit for the Maxi Jet.

We'll give it a couple more weeks to see how things go and then I'll make a recommendation for using these in planted freshwater tanks.  They're definately the cats meow in marine systems.

IF you're not already (which I've looked and haven't seen them), you guys with store fronts should be stocking these!  I don't think Rob is selling these to undercut anyone.  He's just filling a niche.  This is the biggest step forward I've seen in the hobby since I tore down 6 years ago.  Jimmy Chen was still working on his prototype, and man they were klunky because they didn't have a pre-cast housing, they were made from sheets of acrylic  ;)

I'd like to buy the other Koralia 4, if you still have it Rob.  Perhaps I can come look at your tanks this time?  :)

It's worked out marvelously in the 100 gallon.  The screen and extra intake space has alleviated the problem of sucking in too much plant material and breaking the impellor.  Plant material and food hangs on the screen, which is where I want it.  It may also be related to the fact that it's slightly less gph than the Maxi Jet modification.  But it's sufficient for the application.

Also helps with feeding as I just have to brush it off after 30 minutes and I get a new pulse of food.  There has also been a noticeable change in temperature in the lower portions of the water.  I have not quantified that, but as an annecdote, it was more warm near the Rio than down with the plants.  Now the whole column feels the same temp.

This one goes on the 75 gallon Lotic tank.  When I get more money, I'd like to buy a "3" to add to the "4" already in the 100 gallon so that now the tank is like looking upstream, with the thalweg on the left, and a bar formed slough on the right.  Fun fun fun  :)

I'll pm you tomorrow and figure out a time.  This week sucks.  Maybe Friday if you don't have anything going on.  Or I can just come up to see the tanks next week  :)

If you have some 2 or 3s left I would take one.  Just got back from Columbus and got one on sale at phishy and cannot believe I have been using maxi-jets for a year after seeing it work.
