I have a pump that is rated at 2900 liters and hour i would think that should be enough unless i am missing a part or something i will try and get a pic of it tomorrow but the outside looks just like yours only no putty work lol

Haha yeah the putty work was done because it leaked. Very sloppy but...she doesn't leak now!

I'll pull the fitting apart tomorrow and see if it matches yours. Never heard of one putting water through the airline. Might try switching powerheads to see what happens.

yeah i tried 2 different pumps and get the same thing with both i am stumped i know this is a great skimmer if i can make it work right lol the thing i did notice is on the pump there is a add on piece to make it into a power head and it has a air inlet with out the pump hooked to the skimmer and a air line on the inlet i get lots of air in the output of the pump as soon as it is hooked to the skimmer it starts with the water the pump is a catalina ca 2200 that i am using on it

Hey burks i think i figured it out i am missing the Venturi Cone i think any ideas on where to locate one of thiose babies lol

Ooooo not quite sure. I'd give Red Sea a call and see if they have replacements available. If not, not sure if another one could be added or not (like not a Red Sea brand).

Hey Burks I got this figured out there are 2 different versions of that skimmer and one is a Turbo and one is a Venturi i have a turbo that does not come with the venturi parts but i have the right stuff coming for it and hopefully will have it up and running in a week or so
