If you are interested in participating in starting up this program, setting up guidelines, or judging how many points are recieved for the propagation of various plants and animals. This is the program you've been looking for.

Still there is much work to be done, and we need anyone who is willing to participate.

For those of you unfamiliar with the Breeding Programs, there is "BAP" (Breeders Award Program) "HAP" (Horticultural Award Program) and SMP (Species Maintenance Program).

Like I mentioned, there is still much to be discussed. You are encouraged to visit breeding programs of other clubs, are share them with other club members.

I'm in to help.  When we have elections in February there will be a new person elected to the board that will be the Industry Representative.  It will be this persons job to be incharge of the Breeding program and point system.  This person will need to be kept informed on Government regulations banning certian imports of fish and or coral and use that as a higher point system for breeding.  Such as the Bangaii Cardinals should get big points on breeding ect.

So if you may be interested in this position please think about it and get ready for nominations in Janurary!

That might be a lot to combine in one position.

I asked on the FAAS board about the marine programs, and they said, "oh, we need to start working on a standard". It sounds like MACNA doesn't have one all laid out, either.

No they don't...  They leave that up to MarineBreeders.org or ProjectDibs depending on what it is and then they back them in a way.

The person in that one position would be the overseer of the program.  He can delegate work to volunteers but be responsible for the program in general.

If it did come down to it, we could have an "Industry Rep" in charge or it, and then an immeadiate"Supervisor" over the breeding programs as well? Just a suggestion
