Club elections are just around the corner. We announced this at the meeting and we apologize for the late notice on the site.  We have the following positions for members in good standing to run for:

President
Vice President
Secretary
Treasurer
Webmaster

The description of these positions can be see in our Bylaws on our website.  We also have added a few new positions to the board for this next coming year and they are:

Newsletter Editor
Industrial Representative
Public Relations

Since these are new positions they haven't been ratified into our Bylaws but will be added shortly.  The job description for these positions are as follows:

Newsletter Editor - Responsible for putting together the TRAC Newsletter on a Bi-monthly time frame.  We want to try to get 6 editions out a year.  The newsletter editor is responsible for collecting articles for individual members, writing their own articles, putting the newsletter together using our newsletter format, and filling in content where needed.  Once the newsletter is created the editor will send the newsletter to the web administrator to be posted on the website for the public to read.

Industrial Representative - This person is responsible for keeping track of fish species, plants, inverts that are being regulated in the hobby industry and notifying the club.  The will also be responsible for keeping track of the point system for our breeding program to give out breeding awards at the end of the year or every 6 months depending on what is finally decided by the club.

Public Relations - This person is responsible in making sure our meetings and events are advertised everywhere possible.  This person will also be responsible in making sure that our club fliers and meeting notices are displayed in the local fish stores that are willing to carry them and working on club relations with other local fish stores that currently do not carry our material.

Past President - This positions is award automatically to the person who was president the year before to help the new president get acquainted with projects and or club information and make sure that it is passed along accordingly.

If you or someone you know is interested in running for a position or multiple positions (some restrictions apply see the bylaws) please contact Scott at webadmin@Traccentral.org and submit a bio of yourself so we can post in on the website so people will know who you are.  Voting will take place online for members in good standing after our March Meeting.  So if you haven't shown up in a couple of meetings you might want to start! ;)

Do we have anyone to start a BAP program?

Edit:  Oh, I see that's under industry rep.

Justin,

I for one would like you to win the lottery and share.

Ohhhh you meant for the CLUB!  Well. Feel like posting some of your ideas?  I'd like to see what you have floating around in there.

I for one would like to see the club as a whole(not only on you Buk!) put together some educational presentations we can take places like schools, scout troop meetings, senior centers, parenting groups and that sort of thing. I think there is just so much within the scope of the club- intros for beginnners, intermediate and advanced hobbiest forums, and the importance of preservation...
