I use Salifert and in general, am happy with them.  I find the Phosphate and Ammonia a bit hard to distinguish, but overall good. I have found Aquatic Technologies to be the cheapest for them - even with sales tax & shipping.  http://www.aquatictech...

RO Water & Phosphates
No worries on how it looks, I'd be glad to help.  I had let mine go for about 3 years and it looked awful (I had a baby and lost interest).  I was very embarrassed by it.  Then I bug bombed my house and killed off most everything in August.   It mad...

RO Water & Phosphates
I went back and re-read your post, and noticed that you are running a wet-dry filter.  Generally, they are not useful in a saltwater setup.  They tend to increase Nitrates in your system.  I am going to guess who sold you the wet/dry - probably the s...

RO Water & Phosphates
Hi Becky - I am also in Sylvania and have a 92 corner tank.  So if you have any questions or would like to compare our systems, drop me a line. I agree with all above, DO NOT use our city water.  It is loaded with phosphates.  I would recommend a R...

cleaning magnet
I hate them all.  If a grain of sand gets caught between the mag and the glass, it scratches it.  I find the good ole fashion scraping works better and lasts longer anyway.

cora frag swap goodies

FRAGS!
I always wait for the big All-Ohio swaps.  They are so much fun and you get great corals cheap.  In addition, they are more likely to be aquacultured. If you are looking for a store, don't eliminat Tropicorium simply because it is an hour away.  It ...

cora frag swap goodies
Don't you just hate it when a frag gets lost in the rock work?  It has happened to me countless times.  So far, this time I have been lucky, but I am only half-way through placing everything.  I have mostly the zoa frags left.

Both Weimers75 and I were at the table next to the girl that sold you the orians dream paly.  My daughter was the 10 year old blonde :)  I was worried that the pic was enhanced, and I was having reservations paying that much for one polyp.  So, I wa...

I hope that that Orian's dream zoa works for you.  I had it reserved and she told me that it was not opening.  At $30 a polyp, I was not going to risk it.  I offered her a reduced price on it for the risk and she said that she would get back to me......
